1. About These Terms
These terms govern membership of, participation in and use of the website of ΕΡΑΣΙΤΕΧΝΙΚΟΣ ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟΣ ΤΑΕΚΒΟΝΤΟ ΑΓΙΑΣ ΖΩΝΗΣ (Agia Zoni Amateur Taekwondo Club), a registered amateur non-profit sports club, registration number MOI: ΛΕΥΣ86, Ministry of Interior, Cyprus, registered at Dr. Fazıl Küçük Cd Haspolat 1010, Cyprus. By enrolling, attending a session or using AgiaZoniTaekwondo.org, you accept these terms.
2. Membership
Membership is open to all applicants who accept the club statutes and code of conduct, without discrimination on grounds of origin, religion, gender, ability or income. Applicants under 18 must be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian.
Membership is personal and non-transferable. The governing committee may decline or terminate membership for serious or repeated breaches of the code of conduct, following a fair hearing.
3. Fees, Contributions and Refunds
Annual membership and monthly training contributions are set by the General Assembly and applied solely to the club's non-profit purposes. As a non-profit association, no surplus is distributed to members or officers.
Fee waivers and instalment arrangements are available on confidential application. Contributions are generally non-refundable once a training period has begun, except where the club cancels a programme, in which case a pro-rata credit is issued.
4. Code of Conduct
Members, guardians and visitors shall observe the values of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. Taekwondo technique may never be used outside the dojang except in lawful self-defense.
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intoxication, and any conduct endangering others are prohibited and may result in immediate exclusion. Instructors' safety instructions must be followed at all times.
5. Health, Safety and Assumption of Risk
Taekwondo is a contact sport carrying inherent risk of injury. Members must declare relevant medical conditions before participating and keep declarations current. Protective equipment specified by the instructor is mandatory for sparring.
To the extent permitted by Cyprus law, the club is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from ordinary participation risks, pre-existing conditions, or failure to follow safety instructions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
6. Grading, Competition and Representation
Rank advancement is at the sole discretion of the certified grading panel. Selection for competition is made by the Technical Director on athletic and disciplinary grounds. Members representing the club are expected to uphold its reputation and federation rules.
7. Volunteering, Sponsorship and Donations
Volunteers act under the direction of the governing committee and, where working with minors, must comply with safeguarding requirements. Donations and sponsorships are accepted for the club's stated non-profit purposes, recorded by the Treasurer and reported to the General Assembly. Sponsorship confers no ownership, control or governance rights over the club.
