Our History
ΕΡΑΣΙΤΕΧΝΙΚΟΣ ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟΣ ΤΑΕΚΒΟΝΤΟ ΑΓΙΑΣ ΖΩΝΗΣ, known internationally as Agia Zoni Amateur Taekwondo Club, was founded by a small group of parents, teachers and former athletes who wanted a disciplined, affordable and welcoming place for children of the Agia Zoni neighbourhood to train. The first classes were held in borrowed community space, with instructors volunteering their evenings and equipment gathered from donations.
As demand grew from surrounding districts, the founders chose to formalise the club as an amateur, non-profit association rather than a commercial academy. Registration with the Ministry of Interior, Cyprus under the number MOI: ΛΕΥΣ86 bound the club permanently to a non-distribution constitution: no surplus may be paid to any member, officer or founder, and all resources must serve the club's athletic and educational purposes.
Today the club trains children from age five, competitive juniors and seniors, and adults joining for fitness and self-defense — from its headquarters at Dr. Fazıl Küçük Cd Haspolat 1010, Cyprus. It continues to be run by an elected, unpaid governing committee and a body of volunteers.

Organisational Hierarchy
Authority rests with the General Assembly of members, which elects the governing committee. The committee is accountable to the Assembly and to the Ministry of Interior, Cyprus under registration MOI: ΛΕΥΣ86.
President
Chairs the governing committee, represents the club before the Ministry of Interior and national federations, and signs official filings.
Vice-President
Deputises for the President and leads community outreach partnerships with schools and municipalities.
General Secretary
Maintains the membership register, minutes, correspondence at info@AgiaZoniTaekwondo.org, and statutory records.
Treasurer
Keeps the club's books, prepares the annual financial statement, and reports to the General Assembly.
Head Coach / Technical Director
Certifies curriculum, grading standards, coach qualifications and athlete safeguarding across all programmes.
Members' Council & Volunteers
Elected parent and athlete representatives, plus volunteer stewards for events and inclusion programmes.
